After a period of frequent mortgage rate changes, last week brought some welcome stability
to the market. During the previous weeks, rates had been rising almost daily, which meant
the team had been working quickly to help advisers secure deals for clients before products
were withdrawn.
With conditions a little calmer, Lara has been supporting the process behind the scenes,
helping to keep applications and client enquiries moving smoothly across a wide range of
cases. This includes assisting with administration for first-time buyers taking their initial steps
into the property market, as well as existing clients whose families are growing and who are
now looking to move home. In many of these situations, this involves providing
administrative support where clients are porting their existing mortgage to a new property.
Sarah
Sarah has been busy chasing updates from both solicitors and lenders this week. The
lenders offering the most competitive rates appear to have been flooded with applications,
and turnaround times have now stretched to around three weeks in some cases.
Alongside this, Sarah has also been supporting Amy with the commissions process and
getting to grips with how everything works behind the scenes. It is all part of keeping things
running smoothly for our clients.
