This Week at Mortgages in Lincoln: Juggling, Negotiating, and a Bit of Prosecco Planning

Mortgages in Lincoln

Hello again from the team at Mortgages in Lincoln! As ever, it’s been a week full of client care, team juggling, and getting things done, despite a few challenges. Here’s what we’ve all been up to:

Colin
It’s been a week of variety. I’ve been helping two siblings who inherited a property navigate the process of getting it into one name, which is always a sensitive and important transition. I’ve also renegotiated a purchase price for a client after a survey flagged some unexpected issues. This is one of those key moments where having an adviser really makes a difference. On top of that, I’ve been supporting some new clients through repaying their Help to Buy loan, making sure it’s done affordably and on their terms. Every case is different, but the goal is always the same: making sure things feel manageable and financially sound.

The days are flying by! With Colin and Sarah away, I’ve been covering their work, taking care of my own client cases, answering every email, and manning the phones. It’s been a bit hectic, to say the least. But we’re getting through it. I think it’s fair to say I’ve earned a chilled glass of prosecco this weekend, or maybe two!

It’s a good job so many of us are off this week. I’ve had no choice but to rearrange my entire workspace to keep my foot elevated after a not-so-quick trip to the hospital over the weekend. That said, I’m still here, still working, and still laughing, although at a slower pace.

Whether we’re negotiating purchase prices, managing complex inheritances, or helping clients navigate loan repayments, we’re always here to help with a human touch and practical advice.

If you’ve got questions about your mortgage, protection, or anything in between, just give us a call on 01522 561699, or email admin@mortgagesinlincoln.co.uk. We’re based at 45 High Street, Lincoln, and we’re always happy to chat.

Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage.

Until next week,
The Mortgages in Lincoln Team
