This Week at Mortgages in Lincoln: Busy Bees and Bank Holidays

Mortgages in Lincoln

Hello everyone! We hope you enjoyed the May bank holiday as much as we did, but it was straight back to business for the Mortgages in Lincoln team. Here’s your weekly peek behind the scenes at what we’ve been up to and how we’ve been helping our clients. As always, its a week behind.

Carrie Moon – Documents Handler
“I’ve recovered well from the birthday celebrations over the weekend, which is a good job because we’re busy, busy, busy!”
Carrie’s been powering through her work this week, keeping on top of all the essential paperwork that keeps our mortgage applications moving smoothly. She’s our behind-the-scenes organiser, and we’re so glad she’s back in action after a well-earned birthday break!

Sarah Cieslik – Case Handler
“With Amy on annual leave, I’ve been holding down the fort and managing lots of new enquiries.”
Sarah has stepped up in a big way, handling the influx of calls and queries. Whether it’s booking appointments, checking in with lenders, or ensuring our clients have what they need, Sarah’s dedication has kept the office running like clockwork.

Amy – On Annual Leave
Amy’s having a break this week, rest up, Amy! We’ll have plenty lined up for you on your return!

Colin Baxter – Mortgage Adviser and Company Director
While Monday may have been a well-deserved day off (with plenty of zzzzzzzzz involved!), Colin’s week quickly shifted into high gear:

  • He’s been exploring a Joint Borrower Sole Proprietor mortgage for a client, this specialist option allows a borrower to use a family member’s income (in this case, the parents) to strengthen the mortgage application, while the property remains in the client’s name.
  • Colin also managed to secure lower interest rates for several existing clients whose mortgage applications had already been submitted, a great example of our commitment to always looking out for our clients’ best financial interests, even after paperwork is in.
  • And finally, he’s helping a client remortgage to fund their dream kitchen, because a home isn’t just bricks and mortar, it’s where life happens.

As always, whether it’s first-time buyers, those remortgaging, or clients with complex needs like adverse credit or CIS income, we’re here to help with clear, tailored mortgage advice.
