This week has been full of exciting milestones, from helping first-time buyers onto the property ladder to celebrating birthdays and qualifications within the team. Here’s what everyone has been up to.
Colin
Colin has had a productive week helping several first-time buyers take big steps forward. On Monday evening he met with a couple at 6PM and by 3PM the next day had negotiated a purchase for them. That is what we call efficient.
He also helped one first-time buyer secure a very sentimental purchase. It was their Nan’s old house. And for another couple, he found a project home with huge potential, giving them the chance to turn it into their dream property. A great reminder that first homes come in all shapes and sizes.
Amy
It has been a big week in Amy’s personal life too. She celebrated her wedding anniversary and her birthday back to back, which meant a few dinners out with friends and family. Not ideal for the diet, but well worth it. She is taking her birthday off for a spot of holiday shopping ahead of a well-deserved break to Gozo later this month.
And on the work front, we are delighted to share that Amy is now officially CAS qualified. This is a huge achievement and the start of the next exciting chapter in her career.
Sarah
Sarah has been booking in lots of existing clients for protection reviews with Colin and keeping everything on track by chasing lenders for mortgage updates. Turnaround times are stretching again, but she is staying on top of things.
She also led the office birthday celebrations for Amy. Her desk was decorated with banners, balloons and a life-sized cardboard cutout of Max Verstappen, her favourite racing driver. A celebration done properly.
Lara
Lara has been busy across a wide variety of cases this week. She gave the green light to some first-time buyers to start house hunting, secured re-mortgages at some of the best rates available, and found mortgage solutions for clients who have been long-term renters until now. Whatever your circumstances, Lara is always focused on finding the right way forward.
Carrie
Carrie plays a vital role in checking all client documentation behind the scenes. This includes running ID checks, reviewing bank statements, and making sure everything matches up with pay slips and credit commitments.
One friendly reminder from Carrie: be mindful of what you name your bank transfers to friends and family. These notes are visible not only to us but also to the mortgage lender. What might seem like a harmless joke in a payment reference might not look so great in a formal mortgage application.
We are here to help with all aspects of your mortgage and protection journey. Whether you are buying your first home, reviewing your current deal or just want some friendly advice, we are always happy to help.
Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage.
