From helping growing families to managing remortgages and protection policies, this week
has been another reminder of how varied our work really is. No two days are the same and
that is exactly how we like it. Here is what the team has been up to.
Colin
Colin has supported clients with some big life changes this week. He helped a couple with a
new baby purchase their dream family home in a lovely village near Lincoln.
He also assisted another client in adding their partner to the mortgage while remortgaging,
helping to make shared ownership official.
And for another client, Colin is arranging a remortgage that will allow them to repay their
Help to Buy loan, giving them more flexibility moving forward.
Lara
Lara has been juggling a variety of client scenarios this week. She has looked at options for
clients wanting to buy out of a Help to Buy scheme, supported others with porting their
mortgage to a new property, and helped a family member purchase a home at a discounted
price through a concessionary purchase, without needing an additional deposit.
It has certainly been a week of variety, and that is what keeps Lara on her toes.
Amy
Amy has been working closely with Royal London this week, organising protection policies
and helping Lara place them into trust. She has also been separating a joint policy into two
single policies for a couple whose circumstances have changed.
If a relationship ends, it may still be possible to keep your protection in place without needing
to start over. Amy can guide you through what is available.
She was also scheduled to give blood this week after a 12 month break, but unfortunately
has picked up a virus. She is now working from home and being kind enough to keep her
germs to herself.
Sarah
Sarah has been catching up on some core tasks this week, including chasing solicitors and
mortgage lenders for updates. She has also been helping keep things running smoothly in
the office, which has been a bit quieter than usual thanks to the dreaded office bug doing the
rounds.
Carrie
Carrie has been processing documentation for clients who are preparing to remortgage.
Getting everything submitted in good time is one of the easiest ways to make sure a
competitive rate can be secured before a current deal ends. As always, Carrie is keeping
everything ticking along behind the scenes.
