This Week at Mortgages in Lincoln: Wills, Workspaces and a Welcome Rate Check

Mortgages in Lincoln

We have had another busy and rewarding week across the team, supporting clients through
all sorts of property plans and life changes.

Here’s what everyone has been up to.

Colin
Colin has been working closely with a number of clients this week, each with very different
circumstances. He is helping one client rent out their current home so they can buy a new
main residence. It is a move that gives them flexibility without needing to sell.
He also spent time with a solicitor, looking at the importance of having a Will in place,
particularly for families with young children.
And in one more complex case, he arranged a mortgage for a couple who are sadly
separating, making it possible for one partner to remain in the family home while the other
receives their share of the equity.

Sarah
Back from her recent break, Sarah has been catching up with lenders and chasing updates
for our clients. Turnaround times are definitely stretching at the moment, but Sarah is
keeping everything moving behind the scenes. She is also looking forward to training with
Carrie on the new system that was introduced while she was away.

Amy
Did I mention how nice it is having a full team back?
Even though the office is buzzing, August continues to be one of our busiest times of year.
We have been helping returning clients coming to the end of their fixed rate, brand new
enquiries, and those moving home.
Since the recent Bank of England base rate drop, we have also had lots of clients asking if
their mortgage is affected. We have an online checker running through all of our clients’
mortgage rates. If your rate has dropped and we can get a new offer issued in time, we will
take care of that for you. You might just get a nice surprise in your inbox.

Carrie
As part of her new health and safety responsibilities, Carrie found herself investigating
something a little unexpected this week.
On arriving at her desk, she spotted something suspicious under her chair. It turned out to
be a piece of chocolate ice cream Sarah had dropped on Friday. So not only did the team
have ice cream without her, but Sarah also left a little reminder behind. A definite health and
safety situation, but whose safety? Hers or ours?

Lara
It has been a varied week for Lara, helping clients with all sorts of situations. From adverse
credit to renovation projects and relationship changes, she has been exploring options and
giving guidance where it is needed most.
Buying or remortgaging is not always straightforward, but that is exactly why we are here.
Lender criteria are always changing, and something that was not possible a few months ago
might be an option now.

We love the variety of people we get to help each week. Whether you are facing a change in
your circumstances, planning a big move or simply wondering what your options are, we are
here to guide you through it.

Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage.
